Place was spotless and well equipped

Loads useful instructions and place was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed. Beds super comfy. Good location and was easy to get to surrounding areas.

Spa is a fantastic bonus

Thanks for a great stay excellent base for Southern Lake District and access to the local spa is a fantastic bonus – especially for a lake district visit in February when the weather can be – and was – very wet

Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

We had a wonderful break in the most peaceful place. All amenities in the cottage are top class and a lovely welcome. We will definitely return in the future xx Thank you to Alison and Brian for all the hard work in prep 👍

Book Direct

We booked this cottage directly through the owners, who were very responsive to queries we had. The accommodation was clean, beds were comfortable and it is easy to self cater for a family of 4. The location was good, quiet and in walking distance to a local pub, lovely children’s park area and a free
Village library. An enjoyable family holiday in cosy dog friendly cottage

Fell View Stay

Woolfie and chance at fell view

Fell view stay. Lovely homely, cosy cottage with all amenities needed to enjoy a great break. Cottage is well equipped with equipment for cooking and has great WiFi to keep up with the modern life. Clean cottage which had a great fire to blown away the cooler nights. Beds are really comfy and the owners have been great from our first contact. Lots of information in the files in the home, which we enjoyed many a nice walk from with our two dogs. Ideal location for getting around the lakes without the busyness of the main areas. Great walks in the area. We had a great meal in the King’s arms in Cartmel. We also visited The Pheasant Inn everyday which was a few minutes walk from the cottage. Perfectly dog friendly and also does lovely food. I particularly liked the twice cooked chips in beef dripping yummy. We are already planning our next return as this is the perfect retreat for us and still so much more to explore. Thank you for letting us share your lovely cottage.

Small cottage with a big heart. plenty of space for 4 people in a quiet cul de sac

We stayed for 4 days over new year with my daughter and her husband we also had two cocker spaniels. The cottage was well equipped with an small Enclosed garden for the dogs. There were some lovely walks from the cottage and many more a short drive away. The Pheasant serves amazing food And is dog friendly. although it’s not really a pub. There was no area for just sitting and having a drink with the dogs unless you sat outside. Friendly helpful staff too. Just wish we had realised before we booked as this plays a big part in our walking holidays to relax after a long walk. Beds comfortable and cottage always warm. Oven takes a while to cook things, think it’s a bit old.  Brian and Alison are both very helpful and answer any questions quickly and efficiently. They are also very helpful if you need early check in or late check out. Perfect for our four days holiday.

Cosy , All mod cons. Nice safe garden for children and dogs.Excellent base to explore.

Claife Heights

Stayed twice at this property. Spotlessly clean, an excellent base to explore all that the Lake District has offer. Grange over Sands, Cartmel – 5 minute drive. Lake Windermere, Barrow in Furness – 20-30 minute drive max. Cosy, snug living room and a wonderful king size bed in main bedroom. Nice neighbour next door and the garden is safe if you have a dog. Alison and Brian are wonderful, friendly people and offer immediate help on any matter or concern. You will not be disappointed staying at this property. I didn’t want to go home!!

Great location and super hosts

Fell View Bedroom
We had a lovely weekend staying in this property. It’s located in the middle of Grange and Cartmel, with lots of lovely countryside on the doorstep. Brian and Alison were great hosts, with good communication, lots of information, and even checked in with us when we arrived to see if we were okay. The house is well equipped and really warm, even in the middle of winter. The beds were super comfortable as well.

Wonderful cosy family house

We spend 5 wonderful days in March 2018 in this beautiful cosy and clean house. We loved the gas fireplace in the evenings with our children. Alison and Brian were fantastic, they made a lot of suggestions of what to do and where to eat (The Pheasant in Allithwaite was excellent). The house easily accommodated 5 (1 double-bed in 1 room and 3 single beds in the other room). We will definitely return one day!

Lovely Cottage

The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. During our stay the weather was glorious and we were able to sit out in the private little garden which was pretty and very private. We enjoyed our meals at the Pheasant Inn, just a short walk away and we didn’t disgrace ourselves on quiz night either! Cartmel is under 2 miles away and the “Kings Arms” also has super food, the karaoke night on Friday provided a fun end to our holiday. I would recommend this cottage. Shirley, Mike and family.

Clean And Comfortable

Enjoyed our short stay here and would book again if we came back to the area. It’s a good base for walks around the Cartmel area.
