What time is check in?

            Check in is 4pm

Can we check in early?

   If you arrive at 3pm or later and a car is in the parking space Lynne is still cleaning. If there is no car then she will have finished.

Please do not try to arrive earlier than 3pm as Lynne may be on her way and you will be asked to come back at 4pm

What time is checkout?

            Check out is by 9.45am. Please do not be late as Lynne (our caretaker)  has other properties to clean.

Are dogs welcome?

            Yes. 2/3 dogs at no extra charge

What is your dog policy?

Any visitor with a dog is respectfully asked to ensure

  • They are not allowed on furniture downstairs unless on a clean throw
  • They are not allowed upstairs and the gate remains in situ. (if you do want your dog upstairs please speak with us BEFORE booking)   
  • That all deposits are bagged and binned from the garden as we often have families with children staying at Fell View
  • That dog hair is vacuumed up 
  • Please do not leave your dog unaccompanied in the cottage unless you are confident, they will settle.
  • We reserve the right to charge you the full cost of replacement bedding & bed linen if paw prints and dog hair is evident, also if extra cleaning time is required to eradicate excessive dog hair.

Where is the nearest shop?

            For Woodside it is the garage supermarket shop at Newby Bridge, for Fell View it is the general store at Cartmel

Where is the nearest supermarket?

            For Woodside it is Ulverston,  for Fell View it is the Co-op at Grange over Sands. The large supermarkets do deliver.

Where is the nearest beach?

Grange over Sands has a lovely beach suitable for dogs near the train station.

Do you have an electric charging point?

            We do not have a dedicated EV charging point, nor do we have a power socket, either indoors or outdoors, that is suitably rated, protected and certified as safe for use for charging an EV, or for plugging in a lead that is routed outdoors.

We are therefore unable to allow the charging of EVs on the premises, but we’re happy to direct guests to the nearest available public charging points and can provide this information in advance of arrival on request.

Where is the Spa?

            The Spa is at Backbarrow and full information is sent pre arrival

Can we use the Spa anytime we want?

            Yes

Do you have off road parking?

            Yes at both cottages
